How to be Happy All the Time
registerBothell
$25.00, Plus Text
Saturday
February 25
9:30 am – 12:00 pm
What makes us happy? Is it when everything goes just right? If so and given life’s propensity to dish out less than favorable circumstances, this would seem to mean our happiness is held hostage to events outside our control. Learn how to separate your reactions from objective circumstances (or your perception of them). Control your response and you have the first key to being happy all the time! In the final analysis, right attitude separates happy from unhappy people. Learn some simple ways to train your mind and body to response energetically and positively and thus overcome obstacles that would defeat others. This popular class is offered once a year by Larry and Prem-Shanti Rider and is based on the book of the same title by Paramhansa Yogananda.

Saturday
March 24
9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Don’t you want to be the kind of person who, in a crises, stands calmly, courageously, and confidently when others panic? Studies have shown that it is difficult to predict in advance how a person will respond to crises. And sufficient unto our lives are the crises that come to us even if they not be cataclysmic or even noticed by others. Faith in a higher power goes beyond mere belief. It derives from direct, personal contact with the Source of courage, calmness and confidence. Based on the popular book of the same title by Paramhansa Yogananda, Larry and Prem-Shanti will share with you techniques and attitudes which, if practiced in daily life, can be your salvation under stress and crises.

Tuesdays, Apr 17 to May 22
7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Ashtanga Yoga (8-Fold Path) is just one of the core wisdom-teachings that has its origins in the Yoga Sutras. In this 6-week course, we will explore Patanjali's deep insights into the practice of meditation, into the inner experience of consciousness seeking its Source, the signs of spiritual progress, and the state of soul-liberation as seen by one who has achieved that state. The yoga sutras are a clinical exploration into the human mind and into the consciousness that has manifested all matter and this vast universe. We will examine key sutras and seek to unlock their secrets. This course is based upon Paramhansa Yogananda's unpublished commentaries on the yoga sutras.
