Open your heart and still your mind to the Divine presence through devotional chanting! We use Indian harmoniums, guitars, drums, kirtals (bells), gong, and sometimes even harp! Chants by Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Kriyananda, and mantras from India.

We celebrate the conscious exit from the physical body of both Paramhansa Yogananda (Mar 7, 1952) and his guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar (Mar 9, 1936) into the subtler realms where they continue their work of spiritual redemption for “as many as received him” A full schedule of the day will be released about one week before the retreat. Silent meditation periods will be punctuated with chanting or other activities for inspiration, comfort, or for entering and exiting the sanctuary.

This popular, because universal and uplifting, spiritual service and ceremony will help us feel the blessings of the Spring season of renewal and rebirth. Hope Spring Eternal! There will be separate activities for children and hors d’oeuvre served afterwards. All are welcome!

Each year Jyotish and Devi Novak, spiritual directors of Ananda’s worldwide ministry, and others, visit to share with us the inspiration and the activities for the past and upcoming year’s ministry through the U.S.A. and the world. You will have an opportunity to make a gift or pledge that goes beyond your support of Ananda in the Seattle area. Expand your awareness of the broader scope of Ananda’s work as you open your heart to those souls everywhere whose lives are inspired and changed by the precepts and practices of Self-realization and Kriya Yoga.

For the first time ever, Ananda Seattle, assisted by guest musicians and singers from other Ananda Communities in Oregon & California, will perform Swami Kriyananda’s acclaimed Oratorio. Consisting of instrumentals, solos, and choir pieces, this oratorio recounts and celebrates the life of Jesus Christ through music and inspired by the universal message of Self-realization and union with God as our soul’s destiny. Cellist and music director David Eby comes to Seattle from Ananda Village, California to direct this first-ever live performance in the greater Seattle area.

Today we participate with millions around the world in honoring the resurrection of Jesus Christ and celebrating the promise of our soul’s immortality which is the eternal and universal message of the avatars down through the ages. We will have special activities for children and inspiring for friends and family.
