Why Learn to Meditate?

meditator

Meditation benefits all aspects of daily life. It bestows a sense of calmness, clarity, and well-being. Anyone can practice meditation, with or without formal religious affiliation. While its highest and original purpose is to help us awaken our inner, spiritual nature, the benefits to body and mind are well established by medical research. Not surprisingly, meditation has become popular throughout the world, from corporate campuses to forest retreats.

Our teachers are experienced and dedicated meditators and teachers. We offer an approach to meditation that is universal, and nonsectarian; it enjoys the testimony of time and the experience of thousands of practitioners. It is a carefully balanced system that begins with relaxing and energizing techniques for the body, moves to concentration techniques for the mind and calm inspiration for the heart; finally we enter the temple of silence to experience peace and inner guidance.

“The soul loves to meditate, for in contact with Spirit lies its greatest joy.”

–Paramhansa Yogananda

“Meditation has brought me a sense of calmness, peace and joy I didn’t think I could experience. It has brought focus and a sense of inward direction.”
